This movie in its very core team is strong. Lyca production that has been choosy and wise with the choice of movies, Sundar.C who knows proportion of all the right ingredients for a hit and STR who has very less limitations.
This movie is also looked as a revival of STR's market by his fans. His recent hit, Mani Ratnam directorial Chekka chivantha vaanam has somewhat steadied his market that was going downhill with a flurry forgettable outings like Vaalu, Idhu namma Aalu, Anbanavan adangadhavan, Asaradhavan.
