The Depression formed in the Bay of Bengal will cross the shore near Chennai and Pondy coat tomorrow (22.11.18) morning with heavy rains across Chennai, Kancheepuram and Thiruvallur.
Tamilnadu Weatherman on twitter updated on the recent development of cyclone stating that " Chennai, Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur might see very heavy rains and extreme rains whereas Northern Tamilnadu areas Pondy, Thiruvannamalai, Vellore and Villupuram will get more rains today and tomorrow. The Depression passes thorough Northern Tamilnadu and so Cuddalore might misses out of rains. ECR, OMR, Tambaram, Kancheepuram - Oragadam are the key areas to expect very heavy rains. Chennai to Pondy will get gusts of 50 km/hr winds. For the past 24 hours Chennai Airport (Meenambakkam) received 46mm , Chembarambakkam Lake 45mm and Madhurantakam 41mm of rains and also the rainfall will become three figure mark for tomorrow for sure in some parts of Chennai" he said.
