DMK gears up for elections, minor allies gets tickets for Loksabha

The heat for 2019 general elections is on and the opposition ally in Tamilnadu headed by DMK President MK Stalin is all set to form a grand alliance. With 10 loksabha seats already allocated to Congress, other minor allies in DMK clan confirms their presence to contest in General elections after the discussion held in Anna Arivalayam on Monday.  VCK  and CPI had been granted 2 seats and Parivendar's IJK given 1 seat to contest whereas MDMK and CPM are in talking further for seat allocation. DMK had earlier allocated one seat each to KMDK and IUML.

"After the successive talks with the DMK Seat sharing committee, DMK have approved the interest of VCK contesting in 2 seats. Constituency will be decided by the party head and the symbol to contest in  elections will be decided by the VCK party meeting tomorrow" says VCK president Thirumavalavan.

CPI head Mutharasan after seat allocation process said, " To eradicate BJP and its proxy ADMK out from power, DMK front have formed a mega alliance uniting all opposition parties. We are happily announcing that, after smooth talk's with DMK, CPI is alloted to contest in two seats. Constituencies will be decide later after talking with all other allies by the DMK President. CPI will also support DMK in upcoming by-election and this alliance is formed purely based on political crisis situation here in Tamilnadu and will fight for public welfare".

"Still there are some disruption in seat sharing and a final talk on seat sharing will be decided tomorrow along with the party head" says MDMK chief Vaiko.

With all the minor allies been given seats to contest, DMK stalwarts starts filing nomination to contest elections. Rajyasabha MP Kanimozhi has filed nomination to contest in Thoothukudi constituency whereas, Tamilachi Thangapandian shown interest to contest in South Chennai. DMK secretary Duraimurugan's son Kathir Anand filed to contest from Vellore and rebel MLA Senthil Balaji has filed to contest from Karur constituency.  With mega alliance formation, Anna arivalayam is seems to be Chennai's Hot spot.
