"Chennai recieves deficit rainfall as 12 hours of rains dumped in the sea":Tamilnadu Weatherman

- Subramani

Chennai city experienced moderate rains throughout the day and will continue to recieve rains untill tomorrow afternoon. Parts of ECR, Siruseri and southern suburbs may get good spell overnight says Tamilnadu Weatherman.

The Low Depression formed in the Bay of Bengal was expected to cross between the Chennai & Pondy coast and Chennai, Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur was expected to get very heavy rains. But the Clouds stayed adamantly without moving for 12 hours and all the rains were dumped in the sea close to the city and now the clouds starts moving very windy in the ECR/Siruseri direction. Hence the direction of the moving clouds may get good spell whereas the core city may get moderate rainfall untill tomorrow afternoon.

This results that Tamilnadu scraps this NorthEast Monsoon with deficit rainfall and Chennai city will face a difficult task. The pull effect rains are possible on 22nd & 23rd November but from 24th November dry weather to forecast all over the state. Enjoy this awesome weather as this is the last spell of this failed monsoon. Same situation pertained in December 2007 as monsoon failure was saved by December rains says Tamilnadu Weatherman in his forecast update on Facebook.

On behalf of rains, Pudhucherey has announced holiday for Schools & Colleges tomorrow (22.11.18) and Collector's of Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur to decided tomorrow morning based on overnight rains.
